The placement of your desk, according to Feng Shui principles, is vital to your success with your business and how you manage your life. You want to make sure that you are in the “commanding position” in order to be in control of your life circumstances and to see all the opportunities that come your way.
You need to be able to see the door but not be directly aligned with it. The energy or ”chi” enters from the door and you don’t want to be in a vulnerable position with everything coming right at you. You want to be able to clearly see every situation that comes into your life, otherwise you will feel a lack control which can cause anxiety. The best place for your desk is to be tucked away with as much view of the room as possible, preferably with a wall behind for you to be solidly supported from the back. If you can not sit facing the door, place a mirror on your desk or the wall in front of you to reflect the door. If you have a window behind you, put plants, shades, or furniture there as a buffer between you and the window.
Try to be organized and reduce any clutter that can stagnate your business or create a lack of clarity. Make sure your chair is comfortable while you sit at your “throne” and set your intention for success and prosperity in your life.

I have experienced health issues in my own home and I am living proof how our environments impact our body, mind and spirit. In the center of my home is a bathroom which is located in the Health area according to Feng Shui. The bathroom which incorporates the plumbing system is connected with our own plumbing or digestive system. This brought up digestive disorders which were painful and effectedmy business and finances. I was unable to work and money was going down the drain!It is so important to take care of our health and Feng Shui can support you in a powerful way.
When I went to help a family with a young girl with brain seizures, the father’s eyes were opened wide when I pointed out how the home was contributing to her health problem. I asked him if there was any clutter in the attic because the attic is connected to health issues related to the head or brain. He told me that when the previous occupants moved they never cleared out the attic of their possessions! There was a list of other factors that showed up in the home which he could clearly see. It was a real aha moment for him which empoweredhim to make the changes as soon as I left. The little girl is back to perfect health.
It is very important that your child’s bed is in the proper position for healing. I was called to help a little boy with health hallenges and found his bed was not in the position for him to receive the life force energy for healing. We also discussed changing some of the colors to create a more grounding and healing environment and reposition some of the furniture. Two weeks later the family found a new doctor and a private school. Their son has been progressing ever since with his communication skills, creativity and personal strength.
